What would you get if they let Tim Burton create a sequel to the Game Boy cult classic Survival Kids? Probably something like Don't Starve. In this unique survival sandbox game, you play Wilson, a gentleman scientist trapped in a sinister and mysterious wilderness by the equally sinister and mysterious Maxwell.

Starting with a handful of basic blueprints, you must construct the tools you need to gather supplies like wood, stone, and food in order to survive. You'll eventually be able to do research and create new, better tools and helpful structures (like warm clothing to make it through cold weather, or a crock pot to cook more filling food). Be warned that there are ferocious creatures in the wilderness, and your sanity is slowly ticking away from the isolation, the darkness of night, and various other perils you'll encounter...

Survive long enough, and you'll be able to unlock new characters to play as, like adorable pyromaniac Willow, psychotic robot WX-78, and darkness-fearing strong man Wolfgang. Those who explore diligently may be able to enter Adventure Mode, and discover more about Wilson's bizarre situation.
